It is common (normal) to feel worried, tearful and unhappy, especially when you have many problems and challenges occurring at the same time.
Talking about your feelings and troubles with trusted health workers, family, friends or community members can help you feel healthier.
As many mothers feel emotional stress, you may be able to share feelings with those you know and help each other.
You are not alone. Some mothers feel troubled and guilty for feeling unhappy during their pregnancy. Getting help will make you feel better, and there is a lot of support out there!
Remember, emotional stress is very common (normal) around pregnancy. It is not your fault.
When you feel well, you will feel stronger and cope better with problems.
Most people who are troubled feel better when they get the help and care that they need.
Share your feelings and troubles with someone you trust. Look for ways you can get practical and emotional support.
Thinking positive and negative thoughts is linked to the way you feel and it can directly affect your baby’s physical and emotional growth.
Take time to rest and do activities you enjoy. Your baby knows you very well, and learns about the world through you.
